Meet Cheeto, an adorable nine month-old male pot-bellied pig available for adoption at Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary! This is one special pig … he is litter-box, house- AND harness-trained, knows how to use a piggy (doggy) door and is good with dogs (thought dogs and pigs should NEVER be left alone together as a rule of thumb). Cheeto has the sweetest temperament and absolutely adores people, but due to all his training he MUST go to an inside home! Pot-bellied pigs are similar to dogs in the sense that they can be house-trained, leash-trained and can learn tricks, but they’re also very stubborn and sensitive. The average lifespan of a pot-bellied pig is anywhere from 12 to 20 years and if you put in the time and love with your little oinker, you’ll have the undying love and loyalty of your pig. This sweet boy has been neutered and microchipped and is more than ready to find his forever home. If you’re interested in a snorting good time and would like to adopt Cheeto, please fill out an adoption application online. His adoption fee is $150, though if you’re out of state it costs an additional $100 and your pig must have a health certificate (Oinking Acres takes their pigs to Purdue Large Animal Hospital to have this done and receive the document).
