Meet Bentley, the four year-old Pit Bull mix formerly known as Prince, available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Bentley first met the shelter staff back in March 2017 when he was relinquished by his owner for getting too excitable around his special needs child. He was then adopted by someone whose application checked out, but was unfortunately passed from person to person until he recently wound up back at the shelter. His most recent owner had him for two years, but claimed she didn’t have enough time for him (and even made a family member come relinquish him … that really IS busy, huh?). Bentley can be a bit rambunctious, but he’s good with older children and other dogs and is so deserving of a home … are you this sweet boy’s forever family? Anyone interested in Bentley, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Bentley home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127. (Also, due to Bentley being a Pit Bull mix, it’s very important to either own your home or have written permission from your landlord!)
Bentley is …
– an energetic boy with a contagious doggy smile!
– good with older children and other dogs, but best in a home without cats.
– housebroken.
– neutered.
– microchipped.
– up-to-date on his vaccinations and wormed.
– FREE to his loving, forever home!
