Meet Horatio! *SPECIAL NEEDS* *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Horatio, an absolutely adorable two year-old lop mix available for adoption through the Indiana House Rabbit Society! Poor Horatio was surrendered to a public animal shelter and the lovely people at IHRS rescued him before he was either euthanized or passed away from his medical issues. As you can probably tell from the pictures this sweet bunny has a significant head tilt, but tested negative for E cuniculi and his CT scan was negative for middle/inner disease, both which are common causes. So while it’s still unknown what causes this issue, sweet Horatio has adjusted well to his disability and still binkies and plays like a normal bunny … maybe it’s a blessing that he can see the world in his own special way! He’s so incredibly sweet, adores people and loves being petted, so don’t let his tilted view of life make you miss out on being Horatio’s forever family! If you want Horatio to be a part of your forever family, please fill out the adoption questionnaire and check the link on adopting a rabbit from the Indiana House Rabbit Society. Horatio’s adoption fee is $65 (which helps cover his neuter surgery) and he’ll come home with a small bag of hay, a small bag of pellets and his veterinary history.

Horatio is …
– sweeter than sugar, full of personality and loves being petted.
– great with people and would thrive in a home with lots of attention and TLC.
– litter-box trained.
– neutered.

Horatio is special needs because …
– he has a significant head tilt and will need adopters who understand his disability (though he binkies and plays like a normal bunny).
