Meet Rice Pilaf (or Pilaf, for short), a gorgeous Siamese available for adoption at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter! Pilaf was found as a stray and brought in to the shelter after being caught with a humane animal trap, so he’s still warming up to the idea of being loved and cuddled. Don’t be scared of the cattitude, though … he’s all talk and no action! He’s a vocal boy that needs a good brushing, but his shelter family is waiting until he’s more comfortable with living a life of luxury. Is his forever family out there waiting to spoil him and give him the life he deserves? And if you’re in the market for more than one kitty, there are several other sweeties waiting for their forever homes and this amazing shelter has an adopt one/get one policy … plus, your second kitty is spayed or neutered for free! Pilaf’s adoption fee is $30, which covers his neuter, rabies/booster vaccinations and wormer. Anyone interested in Pilaf, please check the link above for hours of operation and adoption requirements (meet and greets are a must!). Once your application has been approved, you get to take Pilaf home that day! Any additional questions, please email Chris Browder at cbrowder@cityofshelbyvillein.com or call at (317) 392-5127.
Pilaf is …
– still a bit stand-offish after a life as a stray, but not in the least bit aggressive.
– very vocal … listen to those Siamese pipes!
– litter-box trained.
*Please check out my feature on this shelter, it’s really an amazing place to find your next furry family member!*
