Meet Pierre & Montpelier! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Pierre and Montpelier, a bonded pair of three year-old neutered male degus available for adoption through EARPS! Some of you may be asking, “What exactly is a degu?” A degu is part of the rodent family and related to guinea pigs and chinchillas with an average lifespan of five to nine years. It’s also important to keep their environment dry and no higher than 68 degrees Fahrenheit or they could become distressed and suffer heatstroke. Degus enjoy human interaction and are very social with other degus, but not big on being handled a lot … they should NOT live alone, it makes them stressed! For more information on the degu and how to care for it, I’ve included a link on degu care. If you’re interested in adopting Pierre and Montpelier and giving them a forever home, please fill out an adoption application on the EARPS website. Their adoption fee is $15 for the pair.

Pierre and Montpelier are …
– bonded, so they MUST be adopted together!
– three years old, so still in the prime of their lives!
– needing a dry environment no warmer than 68 degrees Fahrenheit and access to sand for their daily sand baths.
– neutered.
– $15 for the pair.
