Meet Jersey, an easygoing four year-old Pit Bull/Basset Hound mix available at the Johnson County Animal Shelter! Jersey is quite a cutie with his long body, short legs and Pittie smile and he’s happiest when he’s spending time with his people and will come up to you begging for full-body rubs! Jersey does enjoy playing with his stuffie toys, but he mostly just wants to be cuddled and is also the perfect gentleman on a leash. Although Jersey has been friendly with everyone he meets so far and hasn’t minded the other dogs at the shelter, he’s untested with children and other animals and meet-and-greets with all potential forever family members (furry and human) are a must! How can you resist this handsome and loving pup? All adoptions are done with approved applicants by appointment only and once you fill out the adoption application, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment and meet the pet. Jersey’s adoption fee is $150, which covers his vaccinations, neuter surgery and microchip registration.
