Meet Linus! *SPECIAL NEEDS*

Meet Linus, a loving two year-old longhaired black cat available for adoption through the Hancock County Humane Society! Linus was diagnosed with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but is doing very well and is a sweet and friendly boy. Testing positive for FIV does NOT mean that a cat has feline AIDS, but it does make the cat more susceptible to secondary infections. Linus is not on a daily medication to treat his FIV, but because he has an immunodeficiency he would need any secondary infections treated as normal. Are you the forever home where Linus can find his very own special blanket for cuddling and be accepted? Shelter hours are by appointment only on Saturdays and the shelter is closed on holidays. Two shelter visits are also required before the adoption can be completed and adoption fees vary based on age of cat, age of adopter, etc., so please click the link above for more information.

Linus is …
– sweet and playful with lots of love to give!
– best as either an only cat or with another cat that is FIV+.
– litter-box trained.
– neutered.
– up-to-date on his vaccinations.

Linus is special needs because …
– he is FIV+.
