Meet Mayhem, a very shy seven month-old cat available for adoption through the Hancock County Humane Society! Mayhem earned her name after escaping her enclosure and was found hiding under the shelf … it took two shelter volunteers to get her safely back in her cage! Mayhem was semi-feral when she was first found and was completely terrified of all people, but now she lets certain people pet her (a huge step!). Mayhem loves other cats and will definitely need another kitty friend in her new forever home, but due to her shy nature she needs to be in home without children. Are you the family that would welcome Mayhem into your home and heart? Shelter hours are by appointment only on Saturdays and the shelter is closed on holidays. Two shelter visits are also required before the adoption can be completed and adoption fees vary based on age of cat, age of adopter, etc., so please click the link above for more information.
Mayhem is …
– extremely shy and will need a patient and experienced forever home where she can have the time and space to adapt.
– good with other cats and NEEDS a feline friend in her new home, but best in a home without small children.
– litter-box trained.
– spayed.
– up-to-date on her vaccinations, negative for FIV/FeLV and treated for fleas and worms.
