Meet Maverick, an energetic two year-old Husky/Bernese Mountain dog mix available at IndyCLAW Rescue! Maverick was an owner surrender back in December of 2021 after being purchased as a puppy from an Amish breeder in Ohio, but it hasn’t dimmed this happy boy’s spirit and loving personality. Maverick has loads of energy and will need a forever family that can work with him on his manners, both on and off leash, and keep him busy and mentally stimulated. Due to Maverick being part Husky, he MUST have a six-foot fence in his forever home (this is non-negotiable!) … Huskies will run until they are too tired to move and could end up miles away without the energy to make it home! Maverick is best with older children and good with most other dogs, but a meet-and-greet will be important for all family members (furry and human). Anyone interested in adopting Maverick can fill out IndyCLAW’s dog/cat adoption form and email it to adopt@indyclaw.org … visits are by appointment only! Maverick’s adoption fee is $500.
Maverick is …
– a playful and energetic boy who will require a six-foot fence in his forever home (being part Husky, this is non-negotiable) and a forever family that can take the time to work with him on his manners (both on and off leash).
– good with other dogs and animals, but best in a home without small children.
– crate-trained.
– housebroken.
– neutered.
– up-to-date on his vaccinations.
*Note: IndyCLAW requires a “sleepover contract” for anyone interested in adopting Maverick where he would stay with his potential adoptive family for two weeks in order to make sure it’s the best mutual fit before the adoption is finalized. I have personally adopted both a rabbit and a dog from this rescue and they were both wonderful experiences!
