Meet Tubbs, a playful two year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix available at the Johnson County Animal Shelter! Tubbs was surrendered to the shelter after he got into a fight with the English Bulldog in the home and the owner tried to intervene and was bitten. Tubbs has been nothing but sweet and happy-go-lucky at the shelter, but he will need an active forever family that can keep him stimulated, mind and body! Tubbs loves playing tug-of-war, fetch and adores long walks with his humans … anything that keeps him busy! Tubbs does well with most other dogs, but he can be choosy with his canine companions and a meet-and-greet with any other dogs in the home is a MUST! Tubbs would also do better in a home without small children, but he’s untested with other animals. Are you the forever Crockett to this playful Tubbs? All adoptions are done with approved applicants by appointment only and once you fill out the adoption application, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment and meet the pet. Tubbs’s adoption fee is $150, which covers his vaccinations, neuter surgery and microchip registration.
