Meet Lansky! *UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!*

Meet Lansky, a handsome four year-old German Shepherd available at the Johnson County Animal Shelter! Poor Lansky came to the shelter with severe hair loss and it was discovered at the vet that he had a severe yeast infection in his entire body. Lansky was quickly put on medications and a hydrolyzed protein diet and it has helped him immensely, but it’s not guaranteed that it will permanently fix his skin issues and he will need to be closely monitored by his future forever family for any flare-ups. This handsome boy hasn’t let his skin issues dampen his spirit, though, and he loves to play with toys and rub his head in your lap when he’s ready for cuddles and scratches! Although he is a friendly boy who has been nothing but sweet, he is untested with children and other animals and would require a meet-and-greet with all family members (furry and human). Are you the perfect forever family to scratch Lanksy’s itch for a loving home? All adoptions are done with approved applicants by appointment only and once you fill out the adoption application, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment and meet the pet. Lansky’s adoption fee is $150, which covers his vaccinations, neuter surgery and microchip registration.
