Meet Winky, a sweet one year-old Labrador Retriever mix available at the Johnson County Animal Shelter! Winky was a very timid girl when she first came to the shelter, but she quickly warmed up and is now a staff favorite because of her sweet and gentle personality. Winky adores being outside (naps in the sun are great!) and really enjoys walks and taking the time to smell the world around her. Although she is untested with children and other animals, Winky’s easygoing personality could be a good fit with both (though a meet-and-greet with all family members, furry and non-, are a must!). Is your family in need of a little sunshine in the form of a happy dog? All adoptions are done with approved applicants by appointment only and once you fill out the adoption application, the shelter will contact you to set up an appointment and meet the pet. Winky’s adoption fee is $150, which covers her vaccinations, spay surgery and microchip registration.
